This is a second line parade in honor of Leah Chase, an American chef based in New Orleans, Louisiana. An author and television personality, she was known as the Queen of Creole Cuisine, advocating both African-American art and Creole cooking. The parade featured The New Breeze Brass Band with James Andrews and The Treme Baby Dolls. The parade began in front of Dooky Chase restaurant at Orleans Avenue and North Miro Street in New Orleans on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.
